Make the real world easier to access.

I’m Chris Myhro. I build systems that help people find opportunity in physical places, coordinate the time around them, and trust the people involved. My foundation is hockey: playing at UConn and professionally, coaching athletes, and building programs that help players advance. That experience shapes everything I build.

01 / The work

One problem, many places to solve it.

Facilities have unused capacity. People struggle to find the right time and place. Trust and coordination often live in disconnected systems. These ventures address different parts of the same real-world problem.

01

SurfaceX

The broader platform for making physical space and time easier to see, select, and use. IceX is the ice-sports vertical. Expansion concepts include FieldX for fields, CourtX for courts, VenueX for venues, CageX for batting cages, AquaX for pools, and WarehouseX for storage space. Additional verticals are on the development roadmap.

IceX

The first working vertical: connecting available ice, rink operators, organizations, coaches, and participants through a marketplace for ice time and programs. OpenIceTime is the proposed focused entry point for open ice.

Phoenix1

Phoenix1 brings together visual cards, player profiles, and a broader identity and trust layer. I’m working with Arizona State University capstone students on the hockey Card Creator, with an initial focus on creating, saving, and sharing cards.

Civic1

The civic application of SurfaceX, being developed to help municipalities and residents discover and coordinate public facilities, space, programs, and services.

My Hockey Pro

I founded Myhro Hockey Performance / My Hockey Pro to help hockey players develop their skills, read the game, build confidence, and navigate their next steps. The work combines on-ice training, coaching, advising, and mentoring with player advancement tools in development.

Connected services.
Stronger communities.

Two complementary Lovable drafts explore how Civic1 could connect municipal operations with the everyday experience of residents. These are product prototypes, not live municipal services. The images below show the draft interfaces; opening a Lovable project may require access.

Help players see what’s next.

Hockey has been my life as a player, coach, mentor, and founder. My Hockey Pro brings that experience to athletes and families through personal development, competitive experiences, and new tools for the player journey.

Building opportunities to compete

I founded the United States Elite League and brought teams to Canada, creating opportunities for players to compete, develop, and experience the game beyond their home programs.

Better information for the next step

Alongside the Card Creator, I’m developing My Hockey Pro player advancement tools and exploring athlete decision support with ASU students. The goal is to help players and families organize their development journey and make more informed decisions about opportunities. Explore the public pilot for example player profiles and the research dashboard; live ingestion and saved accounts are still in development.

02 / My story

Built from the ice up.

I played hockey at UConn and professionally, then spent more than a decade coaching and building programs. That experience gave me a close view of the friction families, coaches, and facilities face every day.

Ice that could be used goes unseen. Scheduling takes too much work. People who should be able to find one another are separated by systems that do not connect. I founded Ice Exchange to solve that in a place I knew firsthand, managed a team of overseas engineers to build the first version, and generated initial revenue. That work became the foundation for SurfaceX as the broader platform.

03 / Approach

Useful systems earn trust.

Start with reality.

Prove the model in an actual operating environment. Listen to facility staff, coaches, families, and participants before extending the platform.

Build for the long term.

Make access clearer, give people control of their identity, and put sound decisions and governance behind the technology.

04 / Connect

Let’s build what’s next.

I welcome conversations with prospective customers, facility operators, product partners, and community leaders. I’m also open to platform-team opportunities where founder experience, product execution, and coordination across engineering teams can help build useful systems.
